As part of a one-day volunteer project, I helped build a WordPress website for the transgender advocacy organization TransWave Jamaica.
I was selected to participate in this September 2017 volunteer project run by Out in Tech, an organization uniting the LGBTQ+ tech community. Their Digital Corps event brought nearly 100 volunteers together to build WordPress websites for a dozen LGBTQ organizations around the globe. In just one Saturday, my team of five collaborated with the leaders of TransWave Jamaica, an incredible non-profit committed to promoting transgender health and well-being in the country, and designed their website.
